FLAKES → DRY/CONDITION → EXTRUDE → COOL → PULL → MEASURE → SPOOL → PRINT
Core process variables
- Melt / zone temperatures
- Feed and screw speed
- Cooling
- Puller speed
- Filament diameter measurement
- Spool tension
Control intent
Two approaches are planned (not frozen): accessible analog settings, and a guided premium path with saved material profiles. Goal: calibration that is understandable, repeatable, and documented.
Conditioning
Moisture destabilizes extrusion. Drying is a process step — not a marketing accessory. A dedicated conditioning module is optional until validated.
Allowed: “controllable extrusion process in development”, “recipes will be documented”.
Not allowed without measured data: “±0.02 mm guaranteed”, “production-ready filament factory”, “works with any plastic mix”.
